How to Join Get Organized BK!
In the days after Trump's electoral-college win (let's remember than he lost the national popular vote by more than 2.8 million votes), thousands of Brooklyn resident have come together. We are committed to stand up to the racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, ableism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny that have characterized so much of Trump's campaign and nominations. To fight policy changes that would harm immigrant families, deny women reproductive health-care, shred climate protections kick millions of health insurance, and allow Wall Street to concentrate wealth and run rough-shod over consumer protections. We will not normalize actions that undermine democracy, pluralism, and the rule-of-law. We plan to have (approximately) once-a-month large group meetings, to support a network of working-groups, and to serve as a resource for action opportunities.

Join a Working Group (or Create a New One!)
We don't pretend to have all the answers, or one winning strategy. What we do have are a lot of people eager to work together. So we have helped form more than a dozen working groups (and several of them even have subcommittees): from "Fighting Trump Appointments" to "Standing With Immigrant Neighbors" to "Electoral Work" to "Arts as Activism."
We’ve posted short summary updates from each existing group, with information on how to join those efforts, where we have it. Some of the groups meet primarily at our once-a-month large group gatherings. Others will do more active work together in-between, both on-line, in person, and in the streets. All these groups are volunteer-led. So get involved, take responsibility, work generously with others, and feel free to suggest & help form a new group if you see then need.
Make a Suggestion
Our efforts to organize are a work in progress, so we’re always looking to improve how we communicate, collaborate and make better use of technology. You can fill out this survey, or send us your suggestions for improving our resistance efforts directly, here: http://bradlander.nyc/contact
