Reporting back to you (one year in)

Reporting back to you (one year in)

As a deep believer in democratic accountability, I know it is essential to report back to the community that I serve.

One year into my tenure in the City Council, I’m pleased to share an annual report on some of what we accomplished in 2010, and a little of what we’re hoping to do in the year to come.

You can view the report here – it is broken down by issue, and by the various neighborhoods in the district.

If you would like to take part in a conversation about the report, some of the issues it raises, and where we’re headed in 2011, please join me for a district-wide conference call on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.

To RSVP for the conference call click here, and we will send you all the information you need.

Serving as your representative in the City Council for the past year has been a tremendous experience and honor. Looking back, you’ll see that we were able to accomplish a great deal by working together...and I am looking forward to all we can do in the months and years to come.

I hope you will take a minute to look through the report. If you have a minute, let me know what some of your 2010 highlights were, or where you wish we could have done better. You can reach me by e-mail at lander [at] council [dot] nyc [dot] com, by phone at (718) 499-1090, on the web at my website, or on Facebook.

And please consider joining neighbors and me for a conversation about the report, and next steps in the community, this Thursday evening.
