The Polls Are Open! Vote Online or In-Person
Do you have your favorite projects picked out already? Tough choices, I know. A “FabLab,” a new playground, or A/C for the cafeteria at local public schools. A storybook/video project for developmentally disabled kids. Parks improvements. A mobile shower for the homeless at CHiPS. And a dozen more.
Participatory Budgeting NYC Vote Week 2017 is here.
Luckily, we’ve made voting easier than ever.
For the first time, you can vote online.
But we still hope many of you will come vote in-person. You’ll have a chance to get a little more detail about the projects, and to talk to some of your neighbors about them. For me, the spirit of local democracy at PBNYC poll-sites is about as good as it gets -- and a great antidote to the cynicism that it is easy to feel about government these days. (Plus, you get a great “I Voted PBNYC” sticker.)
You can vote at www.pbnyc.org/vote starting now until April 2nd at 11:59 PM easily and quickly.
Directions are simple:
Select your preferred language. Fill out the digital voter affidavit to confirm you can vote in PBNYC.
Select your Council District or type in your address to look it up.
Enter your cell phone number and receive a text message with a verification code (standard messaging rates apply).
Enter your verification code when prompted.
Vote for up to 5 projects! You’ll then have the chance to fill out an optional survey.
Not sure which projects to vote upon? Come see them in-person! You’ll be able to ask questions and learn more about each project at the PB Workshop Expo. Plus, we’ll have some free refreshments.
But we still hope many of you will VOTE IN-PERSON (see dates/locations below).
You'll be able to vote at our monthly community resistance meeting. Organize against the injustice, bigotry, and corruption coming from Washington, D.C. because at this #GoBK, we're focusing on offering the training tools to resist.
Learn more about this year's projects from the neighbors who created them and cast your vote! Plus, enjoy free refreshments.
Saturday, April 1st from 10 AM-4 PM
Old Stone House in Washington Park (Fifth Avenue & Third Street)
PS 230 (1 Albemarle Road, between McDonald & Dahill)
Sunday, April 2nd from 10 AM-4 PM

You're also able to vote at our District Office (456 5th Avenue, between 9th & 10th Streets) anytime between March 27-31 at 456 Fifth Avenue, 3rd Floor in Brooklyn. Swing by from 9:30 AM - 5 PM.
And we’ll also have “pop-up” voting locations throughout the week -- where we set up a poll-site at a local playground or on a busy commercial strip. So look out for us!
And please help spread the word to your neighbors as well.
Online or in-person, we’ll see you at the PBNYC polls.
