Get Organized BK!

Get Organized BK! is a group of Brooklyn's progressive individuals, activists, organizations and elected officials working together to resist Trump regime policies of injustice, corruption, and hate.

We won’t let him destroy our kids’ planet (or their country).

Some things we want for our kids: A good education. Their health. A country they can be proud of. A planet to live on.

Who knew we’d be battling the President just to preserve their basic democratic inheritance? It’s “covfefe” (in my youth we called it “fubar”).

By leaving the Paris Climate Accord, Trump is not just spitting on the rest of the world (though he is doing that, to be sure, since the U.S. is the largest historic emitter of greenhouse gases). He is playing Russian roulette (pun very much intended) with our kids’ future.

We can’t let him do it. Read more »

Time to start talking about (the road to) impeachment.

Many of us have long believed that Donald Trump was unfit to be President, that his ongoing foreign business dealings violate the Constitution’s emoluments clause, and that he is a walking conflict-of-interest.

What’s new in recent days is increasing evidence of the Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia to undermine the election, and that the President himself has repeatedly obstructed justice by trying to prevent the investigation. That growing evidence -- and our sustained pressure -- is making the drumbeat for impeachment louder and louder.  Read more »

Join NYS Attorney General Eric Schneiderman & keep fighting for what matters.

What a week. From the chaotic negotiations on the health care bill, to new revelations about Russia, to the President’s unfounded claims of being wiretapped, to the hearings on Neil Gorsuch for a stolen seat on the Supreme Court.

This week also showed that our resistance matters. Read more »

Your neighbors need you!

Thanks to everyone who helped a neighbor in yesterday’s snow & ice storm. As always, it was great to see so many people offer assistance to neighbors who needed a little help clearing their sidewalk -- plenty who just do it as a matter of course, and some who signed up on my website (like Danny and Alex, two young brothers who tagged team shoveling for several of their neighbors in Windsor Terrace around Terrace and Sherman).

In this community, we know we do better when neighbors look out for each other. Read more »
